最近、フィンランド語への関心が強まってる。
その理由と、新しい言語に取り組むときにどうするかについて、書いた。

I was looking up something about Finnish language at night. It was no longer at night, but early morning.
I’m curious about Finnish culture,the culture of the happiest country, and the nature.
Living near a lake and sitting on a shaking chair in Finland are my dream. What a cozy time.
I was also taking other Nordic languages into account, but in terms of how much nature there is and how chill time you can spend, I think Finnish matches me better.
So I’m going to make time for Finnish little by little. At first I’ll look for my favorite Finnish videos.
I already found a interesting YouTube channel called “Yle Galaxi.”
If I studied the pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary (so to say the explicit studying) at the first stage, I would probably give up.
Even if it sounds like wrapping around, I really know exploring Finnish videos and watching favorite ones end up the most certain methods.
What I do at first when starting a new language journey is definitely cultivating my curiosity about the target language, not formal study.
It’s good enough to put it up a notch and handle the pronunciation or something after making it a habit to watch Finnish videos.
Of course, English is the language to spend the most time on for now.

まとめ (感想)
多分今までで一番か二番目に長い英文になった。
今回、この内容を書きたかったのもあるけど、何よりShioriが配信で使っていた”Put it a notch”と”wrap around”を試しに使ってみたかった。
どっちもここではあまり自然ではないらしいけど。
“put it up a notch”に至ってはそもそもこの言葉がidiomaticじゃないらしいから、Shioriが配信中に即興で作った言葉なんだと思う。そういうのはよくある。
そういうことに気付けるのも英作をする大きな意義の1つだなーと思う。
フィンランドについて。
調べたところ、フィンランドが北欧のなかで一番湖が多くて、チルい国らしい。
新しい言語の始め方についても英語で書いた通り
第2言語、第3言語、それ以降の言語習得にかかわらず、新しい言語を始めるときにはまず、その言語に興味を持つその言語で話している人の動画をたくさん観る。絶対ここから始めた方が楽しめるし継続できる。

「英作文の中ではターゲット言語への好奇心を育てるって書いたけど、それよりもターゲット言語を話している人への好奇心を育てるの方が正確かもしれない。
言語に興味をもってその言語に取り組もうと思うと、自分がその言語をどれだけ理解できるか、扱えるかにフォーカスしちゃいそう。
それが悪いとは思わないけど、それって要するに結果にフォーカスすることになるから、言語習得の過程で思うように理解できないときにしんどくなっちゃってあきらめることにつながらないかが気がかり。
だから、ターゲット言語への好奇心というより、その言語を話す人を好きになるのがいいかなと思う。そうすれば、言語が理解できるかどうかっていう結果じゃなくて、その人の動画を観たり声を聴いたりすることそれ自体が喜びになるから、言語習得の過程もより楽しみやすくなるんじゃないかな。
いや、その状態になったら、もはや言語を習得しようという意識すらほとんどなくて、その人の動画を観たいという気持ちだけで続けられるか。」
本よりも動画の方がいいと思う。文字情報だけでは理解できないところを映像と音で補えるから、理解できる部分が広がる。(Comprehensible Input)
ただ、本が好きで好きでたまらないなら本の方がいいと思う。
外国語の習得に取り組むとき、いきなり文法や発音に取り組むとして、続けられるか？
「効率的な英語勉強法！」「3か月で英語を話せるようになる方法！」これを真似して続けられるか？
まず考えた方がいいのは「どうすればその言語に触れることを継続できるか、楽しめるか」
そして、その言語を話すVTuberがいるかどうかを調べる←これ本当に重要。
いなくても何とかなるとは思うけど。
効率や効果を求めるのはその後。
